Good enough. How's Friday afternoon sound? This  is the first week at
San Jose and will be a little hectic until Friday I fear. 

Your inital  reaction was similar to  several others: basic agreement
but there  are better ways  than LISP.  So I've  begun formulating  a
response (attached). 

If you  would like to  look at my current  manuscript on LISP  i'd be
pleased. Alas,  I cannot part with one permanently yet, since the San
Jose class has  balloned from  26 to 40+  students and the  bookstore
only printed 35 copies! But if  you would like to get a quick look at
the unfinished product between now and Friday, stop by Room 205; it's
between Queenette's and D. Luckham's offices.
